Wondering what rides will be closed during your trip? Our Disney World Ride Closures and Refurbishment Calendar has you covered! In this post, we’ll outline the scheduled closures and refurbishment so you know what to expect when you get to the parks. Read on to find out what work you’ll be planning around during your visit!

Quick Notes About This Timeline + Related Posts

This post focuses on rides and attractions at Disney World. We try to catch every scheduled refurbishments, but it happens (rarely) that we miss one or that an unscheduled day-plus closure occurs. Always confirm with official sources if something is essential for you. We have two related calendars:

The timeline is arranged chronologically starting with the current month. Each year begins with a list of projects that aren’t specified precisely, but are expected in the year. Each month also contains certain things that aren’t specified by Disney yet. For things that occur on an annual schedule, we’ll sometimes indicate the previous year’s date until the current year’s date is confirmed.

Ride refurbishments are noted by beginning date, end date, and full months of closures in between. If specific dates aren’t given by Disney, we’ll estimate where appropriate, or simply give you the information that is known so far. The schedule is always subject to changes and surprises.
