Deciding whether to get a new credit card can be a tough decision, especially for travelers looking to save the most on their Disney vacations. Our favorite card for Disney vacations is the Citi Prestige, which saved us thousands on Disney trips the first year we had it.
Even if it's not our favorite card, the Chase Disney Visa can be a pretty great card if you know where to find its real value. Every Disney traveler should at least consider adding this card to their wallet, as the savings it offers can really add up, especially if you're into Disney dining.
You can find a full listing of the perks over at the Disney Rewards website, but here are the top perks that we think you need to know about.
1. 10% Off Dining at Select Disney Restaurants
You can use your Disney visa to get 10% off your meals at select Disney restaurants. Best of all, there are some good ones on the "select" list, including Narcoossee's, Jiko, Biergarten, Le Cellier, and more.
2. SPECIAL CHARACTER MEET AND GREETS
Not for everyone, but if you've got kids you can get short queues for premium characters. There are two of these meet and greets at each of Disney World and Disneyland, with both resorts have a Star Wars offering and a more standard offering.
3. 15% Off Select Guided Tours
Confession: I'm about $60 poorer because I didn't know about this perk. The Chase and Disney websites aren't in perfect accord about which tours are covered, so you'll want to call to check. But it seems like you'd be able to get 15% off some of the best tours - like Keys to the Kingdom and Backstage Tales. For a family of four, that would be $60 in savings just for a single tour!
4. Access to the Chase Lounge (Food & Wine Festival)
This isn't a year-round perk, but during the Food & Wine Festival at Walt Disney World, your Chase card can get you access to a dedicated lounge. This benefit appears to actually be for all Chase cards, not just the Chase Disney Visa.
5. And a Variety of Other Offerings
Part of the nice things about the Chase Disney Visa is that Disney continually introduces new perks. You'll see special cardholder-only room and package discounts (typically only 5% more than the current discount offerings, or just early access to an upcoming deal). Beyond that, you'll get 0% interest on Disney Vacations for 6 months, which can be helpful in managing cash flow. You'll also see exclusive events, like those recently offered at the Food & Wine festival.
