Along with the announcement of 2026 dates for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party, Disney has begun providing official information on the 2026 event. In this post, we’ll discuss the key things that are returning, along with what changes we know of so far…
Reminder: Our complete guide to Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party can be found here.
Things We Know Are Returning to Not So Scary
The Disney Parks Blog launch post has confirmed several returning elements:
Mickey’s Boo To You Halloween Parade
The Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular, the castle stage show featuring Hocus Pocus’s Sanderson sisters and other villains
Disney’s Not So Spooky Spectacular
The Cadaver Dans
Exclusive food and merchandise
But there’s one slightly interesting update buried in there…
Mickey and Minnie will once again greet at Town Square Theater
Interestingly, that Disney Parks Blog post says, “Guests can meet Sally and Jack Skellington at Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party at one of the many character stops that feature exclusive meet-and-greet opportunities” (emphasis mine). This suggests Sally and Jack will not be in Town Square Theater, which they shared with Mickey and Minnie last year. This is something to keep an eye on.
What’s New In 2026 at Not So Scary
So far, the only significant new thing announced for 2026 is a Stitch dance party. Here’s how Disney describes it:
Stitch is hosting an ever-changing dance party at the Rockettower Plaza Stage in Tomorrowland with the help of his friends Lilo and Angel. After getting his paws on Lilo’s Costume Trunk, every accessory he tries on will spark a theme swap and keep the party playfully unpredictable all night long.
This sounds like a fun way to keep the energy going at Rockettower Plaza Stage and I look forward to seeing what outfits Stitch has. I hope they don’t just rotate the same 4 or 5 outfits every night, but we’ll see.
This change presumably means the end of the ZOM-BEATZ BASH, which replaced the DescenDANCE Party on the Rockettower Plaza Stage last year.
Additionally, Disney says “guests can expect even more fun than ever before with some familiar (and fiendish) faces” along the trick-or-treat “trails.”
