The Best Signup Bonuses This Month (March 2017)

Need big chunks of points to execute one of our trip hacks? Here's where you'll find the best signup bonuses for the four major point currencies this month.

Chase Ultimate Rewards

Prior to March 12, you should stop by your local Chase branch to sign up for the Chase Sapphire Reserve. By signing up in-branch, you'll be able to access to 100,000 UR signup bonus for spending $4,000 in 3 months. The card comes with a $450 annual fee, but it also has an exceptionally generous annual $300 travel credit that you'll be able to use twice in the first year.

 The Sapphire Preferred's standard offer

The Sapphire Preferred's standard offer

On March 12, I'd suggest trying the local branch to see if the offer is still around. If not, or if it's after March 12, you'll want to weigh the Sapphire Reserve vs. the Sapphire Preferred, as both have standard 50,000 for $4,000 spend in 3 months.

Starwood Starpoints

The SPG Amex and SPG Business Amex are both offering limited time signup offers of 35,000 Starpoints for $5,000 spend in 6 months. You'll get the standard 25,000 points for $3,000 in the first three months, and an additional 10,000 points for spending an additional $2,000 in the first six months. This offer ends April 5.

American Express Membership Rewards

There is actually some wide variety in American Express offers this month. I really hate to do this, but I'm going to refer you over to One Mile at a Time, where Lucky maintains a list of the current offers. Remember two things. First, American Express business cards are not very challenging to get, so you'll want to consider them fully in evaluating your options. Second, you might get better targeted Amex offers through CardMatch. I've been sitting on a Premier Rewards Gold offer of 50,000 points for $1000 spend, for example.

Citi ThankYou Points

The Citi Prestige offers 40,000 ThankYou points for $4,000 spend in 3 months. I've recently (though not in the past few weeks) seen 50,000 for $5,000.

That card has a $450 annual fee, but also comes with a $250 air travel credit that can be used in the first year. Additionally, the card's 4th Night Free benefit makes it one of our favorite cards.

Now see how to use those points to visit Walt Disney World for under $100!
