Disney recently announced two new/revived ticket deals for Florida residents. Here’s a look at them, with some commentary on why the weird/bad option might actually make some sense for the perfect people…
Discover Disney Tickets for Florida Residents
First up, we’ve got the 3- and 4-day “Discover Disney” ticket:
Valid for use from January 12 to May 16, 2026 (reservations required)
4 days for $64 per day, plus tax (total price: $255 plus tax)
3 days for $79 per day, plus tax (total price: $235 plus tax)
All four parks included; one park per day, but multiple visits to single park allowed
Park hopper add-on available
Non-consecutive days allowed
Special 2-Day, 2-Park Ticket Offer
Next, there’s a slightly weirder 2-park ticket:
EPCOT and Animal Kingdom ONLY
Valid from January 12 to April 18, 2026
2 days for $95 per day, plus tax (total price: $190 plus tax)
One park per day (seems like multiple visits to single park allowed, but you should confirm)
Park hopper add-on available (only the two parks, though)
Non-consecutive days allowed
Analysis and Commentary
I want to start by grabbing some prices to compare these tickets to. I’ll use 2-Day base tickets bought from Disney directly (2-day tickets generally don’t see discounts, and can be inflated, at third party sites) and 4-Day base tickets from Undercover Tourist. I’m going to ignore the 3-Day option just for simplicity.
The windows for these tickets cover the bulk of spring, and thus there’s a wide range of prices they could theoretically be compared to. Let’s just go with minimum and maximum pricing for the period. I’ll include tax in this section.
Special 2-Day, 2-Park Ticket Offer - $202.35
Cheapest 2-Day Ticket (Jan. 12) - $339.67
Priciest 2-Day Ticket (Feb. 19) - $391.07
Discover Disney Tickets - $271.57
Cheapest 4-Day Ticket (Jan. 12) - $641.16
Priciest 4-Day Ticket (Feb. 14) - $702.00
You can see these are pretty great offers for Florida residents (talk to me about “be fair to Florida” another time!):
2-Day, 2-Park savings range from about 40% to 48%
4-Day savings range from about 58% to 61%
It’s important to note Florida residents typically have access to ongoing offers of around 30% off 3-Day tickets and around 40% off 4-Day tickets. With that context, the Discover Disney Ticket discount is more like 29% to 36%.
Altogether the 4-Day ticket is a pretty excellent offer. If these numbers shock you, it’s worth remembering that Florida residents also have access to annual passes (albeit with various restrictions) at the costs of $521 and $925. These tickets are targeted at people without those passes, and those not swayed by pre-existing Florida offers, and have to be priced accordingly.
The 2-Day, 2-Park offer is also fine, if you like EPCOT and Animal Kingdom, but it’s a little bizarre alongside the more compelling Discover Disney Tickets offer. You can have:
2-Day access to only EPCOT and Animal Kingdom for $202.35
3-Day access to your choice of up to 3 parks for $250.28
4-Day access to up to all 4 parks for $271.57
The case for the 2-Day option is quite narrow. Of course it’s just the cheapest option, but I think what’s going on here is the ticket is basically an EPCOT ticket with Animal Kingdom—surely the least popular park in 2026—thrown in just to fill a potential weekend visit.
EPCOT is forever and always popular with locals, and the 2-Day ticket has validity dates including two festivals (Festival of the Arts and Flower and Garden Festival). The tickets can be used on non-consecutive days, so this could even be seen as a chance to visit the two EPCOT festivals.
Altogether, while I think the Discover Disney is the better option, I get the idea behind the 2-Day, 2-Park option (and, indeed, I already emailed someone I think might be interested).
