New Premium Magic Band Options for Disney Hotel Guests

Disney today unveiled a new MagicBand option for guests of Disney hotels. Guests can now opt to purchase premium MagicBand options for $10 each. The traditional, complimentary lineup remains available as well.

The easiest place to start picking your MagicBand is from the Walt Disney World website. On the upper right corner, select “My MagicBands and Cards.”

From there, you’ll start at a list of your upcoming reservations. To select the MagicBands for your upcoming reservation, click “Choose My MagicBands” or “Edit Order” (if you’ve previously made a selection).

I got this popup the first time I did this.

You’re then taken to a page that lists all your guests and lets you choose MagicBands for them one at a time.

The bottom half of the page is where you’ll see all the options.

You’re forced to choose an option for everyone. Once you’ve done that you can proceed to checkout and a payment screen.

Besides the selection interface and the option to pay for premium bands, everything looks to remain as before. The complimentary options are the same (yellow now shown here):
