Now, a bit of discussion.

Pricing Trends, Patterns

The pricing for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party actually follows a pretty clear, sensible pattern.

As a general rule, prices go up as you get closer to Christmas. Prices range from $169 to $229. The six most expensive dates are the six dates closes to Christmas, and the two most expensive dates are the last two parties, on December 19 and 21, at $229. The two least expensive dates are the second and third parties on November 10 and 11, at $169.

Breaking from that general trend are three dates:

  • The first party, November 7, comes at a premium, $199 vs. $169 for the second date

  • November 14, a Friday, comes at a premium, $189 vs. $179 for the prior and subsequent dates

  • The day after Thanksgiving comes at a premium, $209 vs. $199 for the prior and subsequent dates

I’m pretty glad my schedule didn’t allow me to make it to the first party, and I’ll gladly take a slightly later, lower-priced event (and one less likely to be dominated by content creators).

Generally, I’d expect November 7—the first party—to be the first to sell out. This can happen at any time, and we’ve seen that Disney’s aggressive party pricing has not scared guests away.
